Theatre is a big part of my work.
Originally as an actor/musician in rep and no.1 touring shows including such the national tour of Return to the Forbidden Planet and Candide at Liverpool Everyman, and small scale touring, principally with North Country Theatre with whom I created the part of Hannay in the original production (pre-West End) of The 39 Steps.
I have also worked extensively with productions including The Comedy of Errors at the Dukes Theatre Lancaster, The Seduction of Anne Boleyn at the Nuffield in Southampton, Moll Flanders and Tom Jones at York Theatre Royal and The Wind in the Willows at the West Yorkshire Playhouse.
As well as my fair share of Christmas shows (in places as diverse as Bolton, Lancaster, Newbury and the Georgian Theatre in Richmond) I have also worked on site specific productions, open air theatre, Shakespeare and been crucified several times playing Jesus in the Medieval Passion Plays.
My regular work with Richmond based North Country Theatre led to the position of Associate Director and the opportunity to develop my own project; in 2007 I directed and co-wrote The Man Who Would Be King and I have since gone on to direct with Az2B Theatre and Pyramus and Thisbe Productions.
Most recent theatre work includes a tour of Brave Folk with Farnham Maltings, The Sandhouse at CAST in Doncaster (pictured) and a site specific historical production on Lindisfarne for Time Will Tell Theatre.
